US Atlantic Coast RBOB gasoline differentials Friday rallied 3.00 cents/gal, setting a new high of 3.4385/gal, as prompt tightness continued to roll forward, traders said. Differentials were at the June NYMEX RBOB contract 4.25 cents/gal; the NYMEX contract was up more than 6 cents at 3.3960/gal in late trade Friday. One of the major reasons behind the gain was rumors of a problem at Irving's 280,000 b/d refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick. The company was unavailable for comment.
