Lagos-The Nigerian government and the country's blue collar oil workers'union Nupeng are continuing talks aimed at averting a planned oil workers strike over the high cost of fuel,the union president said July 30."The negotiations with the government are continuing,there has been appreciable progress,"Nupeng President Peter Akpatason told Platts."The two parties have agreed to set up specific committees to handle the issues in contention.We hope the negotiations will be concluded by this weekend."
