TNK-BP's 175,000 b/d Lisichansk refinery in Ukraine is due to undergo a scheduled turnaround from mid-September, a spokeswoman for the Anglo-Russian company said August 5. The refinery should process about 460,000 mt of crude oil and 50,000 mt of VGO/fuel oil throughout August, the spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman was unable to give any details on how long or how extensive the turnaround will be. Trading sources said they thought the work at the refinery would take place throughout August and probably September. According to trading sources, Ukraine bought up to 300,000 mt of 0.2% Russian gasoil between end-July and mid-August to make up for the shortage created by the turnaround at Lisichansk and reduced production at Ukraine's largest refinery, UkrTatNafta.
