Thailand steps up effort to lift gasohol sales

Singapore-Encouraged by a modest growth in demand for 10% ethanol-blended gasoline this year (known as gasohol or E10),Thailand's government announced yet another measure to boost sales of the alternative fuel.But instead of targeting consumers,this time the government is eyeing the retailers.To encourage them to sell more gasohol at their petrol pumps,the Thai energy ministry has lowered the oil fund levy on gasohol 95 and gasohol 91 by Baht 0.20/liter (0.6 cents/I) and boosted the retailers' marketing margin by the same amount.
