US Gulf MTBE shot 7 cents/gal higher Thursday,2.37.50-2.385/gal,pushed by tight supplies and expected demand to Venezuela.In the Platts Market On Close assessment process,Lyondell sold Energy resources exchange at 2.38/gal,for 25,000 barrels,FOB Houston,on Platts dates.Also seen was an offer from Northville at 2.40/gal,25,000 barrels,FOB Houston,for export only,3-day ROI.For purposes of the assessment,the Lyondell sale was given full weight,while the Northville offer was seen as a bit high.
