US gasoline prices seen jumping to catch up with crude:EIA chief

Washington-US gasoline prices are poised to jump at least another 20 cents/gal from current levels in the next two to three weeks,as refiners pass through the full increase of crude oil prices to motorists,US Energy Information Administration chief Guy Caruso said November 12."We haven't seen the full pass-through yet" of higher crude oil costs into the retail gasoline price,Caruso told reporters in a briefing at Department of Energy headquarters.He said crude oil prices have jumped about 20/barrel since mid-September,which represents about 50 cents/gal at the pump,but gasoline prices had increased only about 30 cents/gal since then.
