Strong European prices and recent exports to Singapore pushed spot US Gulf Coast 3%S prices to levels unseen since August 9,2006.Spot 3%S was assessed at 51.45/barrel Friday,up 1.67/b from Thursday,Platts data shows.Spot activity for 3%S was thin,but surging prices for May 3%S swaps pushed up the underlying value of physical barrels.May 3%S swaps closed 1.67 higher since the previous day's settlement at 51.25/b.
