Asian MTBE flat,despite falling gasoline prices,as spot MTBE supply continued to be tight.Buyers were firmly bidding at and below 600/mt FOB Singapore for cargoes to be delivered in May and at 580/mt FOB for cargoes to be delivered in first-half June.Sellers were over 620/mt FOB Singapore.In China,the domestic market was around Yuan 4,950/mt ex-tank.Chinese MTBE in one lot of 3kt with 95% purity was offered at 560/mt FOB Nantong.Meanwhile,prices for 97 RON,95 RON and 92 RON went down sharply on Thursday to 61.94/bbl,59.20/bbl and 58.53/bbl,down respectively 1.93/bbl,1.40/bbl,and 1.22/bbl from Wednesday.
