US resid stocks rise as imports remain high

US Atlantic Coast residual fuel stockpiles continued to run well over last year's level,the US Energy Information Agency reported Wednesday.The EIA weekly report showed a 2.4-mil build in US inventories to 38.5-mil bbl for the week ending Feb 27,25% higher than last year.The sharpest year-on-year gains have been on the US Atlantic Coast(PADD I),where stocks rose 1-mil bbl to 14.1-mil bbl,69% higher than last year at this time,and 16% higher than the 5-year average.
