Energy futures driven higher by SPR talk,refinery glitch

May crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange settled 40 cts higher at us37.45/bbl Tuesday,buoyed by renewed strength in the product markets and statements by Secretary of Energy,Spencer Abraham,about the Bush Administration's resolve to fill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to capacity(see story page 1).A fire at Sunoco's 85,000 b/d Tulsa,Oklahoma refinery was the catalyst for Tuesday's rally while Abraham's comment added fuel to the fire.
