ConocoPhillips acknowledges aim to link Wood River and Hartford refineries

ConocoPhillips acknowledged Thursday it is aiming to link its 285,000 b/d Wood River refinery in Illinois with several key processing units it owns at the now-closed Premcor plant down the road in Hartford,thus creating one large refining complex in the area.A ConocoPhillips spokesman told Platts the company has filed an application with the state of Illinois for permission to permanently operate several units at the 70,000 b/d Hartford plant,which Premcor closed in late 2002.
