Platts rejects proposal to undo new methodology

Platts Tuesday rejected a proposal from the Oil Brokers Association to reverse recent chang es in methodology for assessing price levels in the European gasoline market. The OBA, representing the European oil industry, met earlier this month in London and issued a statement proposing a move away from the MOC methodology for gasoline price assessments, inviting all pricing publications to comment on their suggestions by May 27, indicating if they would be "willing and able to support this methodology in the future."
