The International Energy Agency is prepared to call for the release of crude and products from emergency reserves with short notice in the event of a supply disruption in the Middle East, an IEA official said Jan 22. But de dismissed an analysts' report the IEA has already agreed to a tentative plan to release 75- to 100-mil bbl of crude and products in the event of a war with Iraq.
