Rolled products: Producers see weakness in standards orders

The underlying themes in the market remain broadly unchanged this month. The transport sector is still a hot spot with automotive the key driver, and standards markets a weak area, with the building and construction sector suffering in particular. In foil, volumes are reported steady with pricing little changed. Metal premiums are now falling more rapidly but sheet mills will be looking to at least maintain fees where they are, not least as they had to absorb much of the premium increase in 2014.
