US scrap market: Exports to China through Q3 2015 are down 150,000t

Exports of aluminium scrap from the USA havecontinued to decline on a year-on-year basis.According to the most recent trade data, totalaluminium scrap exports from the USA declined by9.4% m-o-m and 13.7% y-o-y in September. In Q32015, total exports from the USA increased by2.1% from Q2 2015, but were down 9.3% ascompared to Q3 2014. Year-to-date throughSeptember, total aluminium scrap exports from theUSA were off by 9.4%, or 117,000t.
