Our assessment of global fibre shipments for 2005 has not changed very substantially in this issue compared to the last. Our assessment of world optical fibre production for 2005 is 75.6 million fibre-km, higher by 0.9 million fibre-km than in the previous issue. We have raised our estimates for North American production in 2005 from 22.0 mfkm to 22.5 mfkrn, mainly due to higher production than previously estimated in Q4 05. We have also raised fibre production for Japan by approximately 5 percent spread across the whole year, as we made an adjustment in our interpretation of the METI statistics for 2005. So tota Japanese fibre production in 2005 was 20.4 mfkm, 3.2 mfkm ahead of 2004. We have also made some smaller revisions in this issue to 2005 fibre production volumes for both South Korea and India.
