Construction sector remains a major drag on growth

CRU expects that demand for extrusions in the EU27 EFTA block from the construction sector will contract by 13% in 2012 with a contraction of 15.1% in Q2 and 14.5% in Q3 before an 11% decline in Q4. This decline comes after demand in 2011 was flat y-o-y, and is the major game changer in the European market this year.
