We noted the relative strength in the "non-China" cable market - rising 11% in 2010. This rate, along with the hish vear-on-vcar growth in manv individual countries, is largely due the 2009 downturn in most countries. The 2010 non-China segment, for example, was up only 6% from 2008. In the US, the 2010 demand was 4% more than the 2009 level, but 7% lower than the 2008 level. France's 2010 demand was 16% more than the 2009 level, but 2% lower than the 2008 level. This means that cable suppliers cannot expect the strong year-on-year growth surges encountered last year in many markets to continue into 2011 with the same trajectory.
