Shanghai— China National Chemical Corp. (ChemChina) announced plans to acquire Munich, Germany-based KraussMaffei Group, a leading global plastics and rubber processing machinery producer, for ?925-million. ChemChina has formed a consortium with Guoxin International Investment Corp. and AGIC Capital for the acquisition, which ChemChina noted "is by far the largest investment in Germany by Chinese companies." Completion of the deal is subject to anti-trust clearances.
