Tehran—I ndian Oil Corp. (IOC) is considering plans to invest $3-billion to build a petrochemical project in Iran, reported Bloomberg and other media outlets, all citing unidentified "people with direct knowledge of the matter." The plant, which would have the capacity to produce 1-million t/y of petrochemicals, is dependent on Iranian assurance that IOC would have access to inexpensive natural gas feedstock.
