Air Liquide in Agreement with Messer Group To Buy, Sell Assets in Turkey & Hungary

Paris-Air Liquide said it is expanding its business in Turkey with the acquisition of Messer Aligaz Sanayi Gazlari, and separately has agreed to sell its Hungarian operation, Air Liquide Hungary Ipari Gaztermelo Kft, to the Messer Group. With the acquisition of Messer Aligaz, Air Liquide enters the Marmara region and will now be present in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, the main industrial areas of Turkey. Messer Aligaz owns and operates an air separation unit (ASU) for the production of oxygen, nitrogen and argon, and has three cylinder filling centers.
