Kuraray Extends Amyris Collaboration To Focus on Bio-Based Liquid Rubber

Tokyo— Kura-ray and Amyris have signed a new joint development agreement aimed at speeding up the development of a new biomaterial-based liquid rubber. In 2011, the two companies signed a collaboration agreement to develop polymers from Biofene, a renewable hydrocarbon building block made with Amyris technology (PCN, 15 Aug 2011, p 2). This new agreement extends the current 2011 to 2014 agreement for two years.
