Neste Jacobs to Provide EPCM Services For Borealis' Steam Cracker Upgrade

Stenungsund— Neste Jacobs has signed an agreement with Borealis to deliver engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for the upgrade of Borealis' steam cracker in Stenungsund, Sweden (PCN, 11 Aug 2014, p 3). Borealis is planning to spend ?120-million on the upgrade of the steam cracker, to enable increased ethane cracking, and the construction of an ethane storage tank. The cracker is designed to produce 625,000 t/y of ethylene.
