LyondellBasell Ends Berre Refinery Talks

London— LyondellBasell has discontinued negotiations for the sale of its 105,000-b/d Berre refinery in southern France to So-tragem (PCN, 7 Apr 2014, p 3). LyondellBasell felt that Sotragem's offer did not include acceptable commercial terms or a guarantee of restarting the refinery, so talks were halted, said published reports citing LyondellBasell, but not confirmed with the company.
