Mexico City— Pemex stressed it has not had any discussions regarding the possible sale of petrochemical and refining assets and has no near-term plans to do so, Reuters reported. The company was responding to a published report citing Pemex Chief Financial Officer Mario Beauregard, which said Pemex could sell these businesses and invest the proceeds in more profitable areas such as exploration and production. "We will have to at some point take a decision to see if we continue with those activities."
