Tokyo—Ube Industries has discontinued production of caprolactam and related derivatives at its Sakai complex in Japan (PCN, 11 Feb 2013, p 1). The company said the site will in the future be designated mainly to the production of value-added specialty products and the distribution of industrial chemicals.
