BASF—Stefan Beckmann has been appointed managing director of BASF Petronas Chemicals, effective 28 Feb. He succeeds Joachim Queisser, who has become senior vice president, Polyamides & Precursors Europe, BASF. Beckmann had been senior vice president of Home Care & Formulation Technologies Europe, BASF SE. Lanxess—Matthias Zachert will join the company as chairman of the board of management on 1 Apr. He is currently chief financial officer of Merck KGaA.
