Technip. HQC Form Two New Companies

Paris— Technip has signed an agreement with China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corp. (HQC) to set up two joint venture companies, one to be located in Rome, Italy, and the other in Beijing, China. The new companies will be responsible for procurement activities on the European and Chinese markets, respectively, for worldwide onshore and offshore projects. "We will take advantage of the existing synergies between HQC and Technip to facilitate and increase commercial access" to those markets, noted HQC President Wang Shihong.
