Enterprise Expects Commercial Service On ATEX Pipeline Starting in January

Houston— Enterprise Products Partners has started injecting ethane into the Appalachia-to-Texas Express (ATEX) pipeline and expects commercial service on the line to begin in January 2014 (PCN, 3 Sept 2012, p 2). The 1,230-mile ATEX pipeline originates in Washington County, Penn., and is, or will be, connected to four frac-tionators in the Marcellus/Utica shale region. The line, which terminates at Enterprise's Mont Belvieu, Texas, complex, has an initial capacity of 125,000 b/d that can be expanded to at least 265,000 b/d.
