Kraton Receives Termination Notice Regarding Combination with LCY

Houston—Kraton Performance Polymers has received notice from LCY Chemical Corp. that LCY has exercised its right to terminate their combination agreement regarding a merger of Kraton with LCYs styrenic block copolymer (SBC) operations (PCN, 11 Aug 2014, p 2). The termination, effective 8 Aug., follows the Kraton board's withdrawal of its recommendation that Kraton stockholders approve the combination agreement.
