Ineos & Sinopec Receive All Approvals For Chinese Phenol, Acetone Project

Nanjing—Ineos Phenol and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co. have received the necessary approvals to establish an equally-owned joint venture and proceed with construction of "the largest phenol and acetone plant to ever be built in China" (PCN, 18 Mar 2013, p 1). China's National Development Reform Commission has granted regulatory approval for the project to be built in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, said Ineos, adding that the Jiangsu Province and Nanjing Municipal governments have also approved the plan.
