Calgary?Nova Chemicals Corp.'s Moore, Ontario, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant has resumed Commercial operation at its full capacity, returning Nova to the LDPE market. A "process upset" in 2011 resulted in the plant being taken out of service. "During the period between the incident in late 2011 and now, we committed resources and capital to not only rebuild the reactor, but also enhance our ability to operate more safely and reliably, with a streamlined product slate," explained Chris Bezaire, senior vice president of Nova's polyethylene business.
