Invista Adding Polyester Polyols Capacity With Expansion of Wilmington Facility

Wilmington- Invista Specialty Materials is proceeding with an expansion of its Terate HT aromatic polyester polyols plant in Wilmington, N.C. (PCN, 20-27 Aug 2012, p 2). Invista last year said it planned to invest "several million dollars" to expand both the Wilmington plant and its Terate HT polyols plant in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Terate HT polyols offer advances in ease of processing and efficiency in rigid foam manufacturing, as well as improved adhesion to various substrates.
