Clariant Expands Ethoxylation Site

Pasadena—Clariant said it is expanding ethoxylation capacity at its Clear Lake, Texas, site, to serve growing demand from the industrial and consumer care markets in the Americas. The project, the second ethoxylation expansion at Clear Lake, will include new reactors and additional storage facilities, increasing ethoxylation capacity to over 125,000 t/y from 95,000 t/y currently. The new plant is expected to come on stream in mid-2015.
