Beijing-China's five-year plan to tap unconventional resources envisions shale gas production of 6.5-billion cubic meters (cu m) by 2015, reports China Daily.Zhang Yuqing, head of the National Energy Administration's oil and gas department noted that if the country can achieve the technological innovations needed to better explore for and recover shale gas, annual production could increase to 100-billion cu m by 2020.
