Odebrecht Considers West Virginia Site For Ethane Cracker & PE Production

Parkersburg— Odebrecht is studying a site in Parkersburg, W. Va., for construction of an ethane cracker and three downstream polyethylene (PE) plants, West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin announced. The complex has been tentatively referred to as Appalachian Shale Cracker Enterprise (Ascent). The project's capacities, estimated cost and schedule were not disclosed.
