Wyandotte-BASF has opened a new research lab for thermoplastic polyurethanes in Wyandotte, Mich., to develop new products for the American automotive, construction, sports and leisure industries. "The new lab in Wyandotte is the latest strategic step toward an ever more global overall approach to research," said Christian Fischer, president of BASF's Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division, adding that it is also an excellent basis for expansion of the existing scientific network with universities and other North American research facilities.
