MCC Closing Kashima Ethylene Plant As Part of Basic PC Reorganization

Tokyo—Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (MCC) is shutting down its No.l ethylene plant in Kashima, Japan, as one of several steps in a structural reform of its basic petrochemicals operations at the Kashima complex. The ethylene plant, along with MCC's No. 1 benzene unit, will be closed during periodic maintenance in 2013.
