Al Waha Shutters Jubail Production To Enhance PDH Unit Performance

Jubail—Al Waha Petrochemicals Co. has shut down production at its Jubail complex in Saudi Arabia for routine maintenance, during which changes will be made to enhance the performance of the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit. Al-Waha, an affiliate of Sahara Petrochemicals Co., has a PDH unit designed to produce 467,000 t/y of propylene and a 450,000-t/y polypropylene (PP) complex in Jubail.
