Cabot Teams with Risun Chemicals In Chinese Carbon Black Venture

Beijing—Cabot Corp. and Risun Coal Chemicals Group subsidiary Risun Chemicals Co. have formed a new Chinese joint venture for the production of carbon black. Cabot, holding a 60% interest in the new venture, said the two companies will invest about $100-million to build a "state-of-the-art" production facility at Xingtai in China's Hebei Province.
