Tosoh Updates Nanvo Complex Status

Tokyo-Tosoh Corp. on 28 Nov. reported the current status of operations at its Nanyo complex in Japan following the 13 Nov explosion and fire in the No. 2 vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant at the site (PCN, 21-28 Nov 2011, p 1).Operations continue to be suspended in the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 VCM units, and the polyvinyl chloride paste, carbon monoxide and aniline plants. In addition, Nippon Polyurethane Industry Co.'s and Tosoh SGM Corp.'s operations at Nanyo are suspended.
