摘要

Howard Gruber's challenge, "If you know what ought to be done but cannot [do it], be creative," appears to presuppose a moral proclivity that cannot be demonstrated objectively. To avoid capitulating to skepticism, this article proposes consultation in at least three disciplines that have historically explored moral issues in-depth: philosophy, religion, and psychology. All three disciplines enrich our experiential journey and separately enjoin our continuing effort to be creative in extending our social instincts toward reconciling our differences for the achievement of peace.
