Create eye-catching rough-edges effects using Photoshop

As often happens in the design field, trends develop, and the use of certain image effects is no exception. While most are short lived, several effects have become standards, such as the drop shadow and outer glow. Rough-edgehas has become a popular effect, as shown in FIGURE A, and seems to have some staying power. Although there are a number of third-party plug-ins you can purchase to produce this effect, it's difficult to create a unique effect that will best complement your image. However, you can create custom edge effects using Photoshop, and it's easier than you might think.
