Platinum laureates coin set of Nobel Peace Prize recipients launched

The South African Gold Coin Exchange (SAGCE) has launched a Laureates set to honour anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela and Burmese prodemocracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The 1/2 oz Mandela laureate coin is madeof platinum and the 1 oz Suu Kyi coin of silver. SAGCE executive chairperson Alan Demby says it is fitting that the Laureates set comprises two of the three precious metals, which are gold, silver and platinum, as South Africa accounts for 80% of the world's platinum production.
