Foreign mining companies operating in Zimbabwe will soon be required to bank their money with local financial institutions and to list on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE), a senior government official has said.Addressing delegates at a recent mining stakeholders conference, held in Harare to review the implications of the 2012 Budget, Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara said the policy of community shareholding adopted by mining houses as a way of ploughing back into near-communities was not enough unless it was complemented by profit-sharing measures.
