摘要

We analytically explore optical rogue waves in a nonlinear graded-index waveguide, with spatially modulated dispersion, nonlinearity, and linear refractive-index. We study the evolution of first-order rogue wave and rogue wave triplet on Airy-Bessel, sech(2), and tanh background beams, and reveal that the characteristics of RWs are well maintained while the amplitude of the first-order RW gets enhanced three times the maximum value of the Airy-Bessel and sech2 background beams and five times in the case of RW triplet. These results could be of great interest in realizing the RWs in experimentally realizable situations on small-amplitude background beams in nonlinear optics. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V.
