Is Exxon Mobil an oil company or a natural gas company? It's not so easy to tell these days. The Texas - based supermajor is clearly going after oil wherever possible, as its efforts offshore Guyana show. The company and its partners recently confirmed that its Liza oil discovery off the coast of the South American nation holds up to 1.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent ( OD Jul.1'16 ). And further exploration drilling is planned in the huge Stabroek Block where Liza was found.
