Newfield to Ramp Up Drilling in Stack, Scoop

Newfield Exploration said it plans to ramp up drilling activity in the emerging Stack and Scoop plays in Oklahoma heading into 2017 after posting higher-than-expected production during the third quarter. The Houston-based oil and natural gas producer said it will add drilling rigs before the end of the year in its core Stack and Scoop plays in the Anadarko Basin, where the company has accumulated more than 350,000 net acres (OD Aug.4'16).
