State-owned Qatar Petroleum on Monday said it had agreed to acquire a 30% stake in three deepwater offshore projects in Morocco from Chevron, even as low oil prices continue to keep a lid on global upstream investments. Under the deal, Chevron will retain a 45% interest and remains the operator in the projects, while Morocco's Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines will continue to have a 25% interest, QP said in a statement.
