Spectra Unit Wins Mexico Pipe Contract

Valley Crossing Pipeline, a subsidiary of USbased Spectra Energy, has won a $1.5 billion contract for the Nueces-Brownsville pipe, Mexico's state-owned power company, the CFE, said Wednesday. The 267-km, 42-inch pipeline will transport around 2.6 Bcf/d of natural gas. The pipeline, planned to begin operating in October 2018, will originate in Texas and interconnect with the Sur de Texas-Tuxpan pipeline at the US-Mexico marine border.
